The Owen County Mapping office has been moved to the old Building Dept office (NW corner of building First Floor)and is no longer located in room 105 near the elevator. I thought this was a joke when i read it but anyways here is the news straight from the horse's mouth. And now for some good news, David Meier has been official registered as a public land surveyor by the State of Indiana. Roadways are continuing to open daily, as Owen County Highway Dept works on replacing culverts on county roads. Also the state has opened a temporary shortcut around the State Hwy 46 Bridge. But because of rain over the last two days caution is still advised. Here are some images taken from the Blackhawk Helicopter that flew over Owen County and GrayBrook Lake located in Morgan Twp. If you would like to contribute to the collection of photos from the flood this year , feel free to contact me and I will add them to the website here. Franklin Twp Fire Dept has drinking water for Owen County residents. It is no longer a maned station, it is self serve, and available 24 hours of the day. Another update from the courthouse. This morning I received a copy of the listing of roads, bridges and culverts that are damaged within Owen County. That has since been transformed into a basic layer on our GIS system and public map. If any information is incorrect please contact me via the contact tab at the top or email to [email protected]. To view the current damage layer access the public parcel map from the first link on the links tab of this site. |
